Psychedelic Journeys

Costa Rica | Iboga Retreat

June 23rd - 29th

This experience will be held in the ceremonial context of the Missoko branch of the Bwiti tradition. The primary aim of this tradition is to help us to know ourselves, to know our primary essence, and to remember the Divine within each of us. The secondary aim is to heal illnesses of the mind and body, which block us from living our true essence.

The traditional use of Iboga was born in the forests of West Central Africa, and the experience is potentiated when practiced in places such as the lush tropical jungles of Costa Rica. Over the course of the week, we will live the "Pura Vida," purifying our inner world in natural surroundings that speak to the spirit of this medicine.

AMBER
Amber found her spiritual path quite by “accident” when her husband Anthony was seeking relief from depression, anxiety and addiction. Initially it was their work with Ayahuasca in Thailand and Peru that began to open her to a new way of looking at her life and the world. One of the first and most profound shifts was in her approach to her food.

Since she was very young, Amber has found immense joy creating in the kitchen. This passion for cooking grew quickly into a lifelong career. Very shortly after returning from Peru in 2011, Amber created her conscious culinary business, The Naked Bite, cultivating a presence and connection with food in a whole new way. She began to channel her teachings with the medicine into her passion for healing foods, educating others to change their approach the health of their body, mind, spirit and the world around them.

Amber has spent significant time in various retreat environments, providing food medicine, emotional support and guidance for the guests. Working with Iboga has heightened her already strong intuition to understand how to best serve those during their healing journey. More about Amber at thenakedbite.com
